Review of Top10 Web Hosting Company:   HostGator HostGator was formed in 2002 and rapidly became one of the best web hosting companies. There were know for their high quality web hosting, but the last months we've got a lot of complains from our website-visitors. Unfriendly supportdesk people, downtimes and other problems. Therefor we have tested Hostgator even more thoroughly then the other top 10 companies.

Reliability
In line of the feedback of our visitors we have seen mixed results. Sometimes the uptimes were top of the bill but it also happened that  the websites went down without any visible reason. It is not bad, but other companies we have tested are performing better.

Speed
The speed of the servers still seems to be on a good level. Definitely worth a

Customer Support
Our visitors do not seem to be happy anymore with the Hostgator helpdesk. Unfriendly people, possible outsourced, slow responses. Hopefully they will improve their support. Please let us know what your experiences with the Hostgator helpdesk are.

Summary
Hostgator was one of the best web hosting providers, but somehow they are slipping away.
Still there is a good value for your money but be aware that there is no free domain included.
